Similar to Chile Pequin, Chile Tepins are slightly smaller and round, and usually have a scoville range of 50,000 to 100,000; they have a smokey and fruity taste similar to that of a serrano mixed with a thai chili. Loved by birds (they can't taste the spice), it grows naturally as an understory shrub.
